Megan has been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2007. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry from UNC- Wilmington in 2005. For more than 12 years she worked at Novant Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC until returning to Wilmington in 2017. Megan has been honored in her field with the Circle of Excellence Award which recognizes individuals that “consistently demonstrate excellence in the health system’s core values of compassion, teamwork, personal excellence and diversity”
Megan’s experience and passion includes prenatal breastfeeding education as well as providing support and advocacy to breastfeeding families throughout all stages of life.
Megan married her college sweetheart, Jonathan, in 2005. She is a proud mother to two daughters, Landry and Annie. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, boating, and playing basketball and softball with her girls. Megan is an active member of Christ Our Hope Anglican Church, and her life is marked by her faith and friendship with God.
